
All you need is a small screwdriver, or other tool, & "Muffler Mender" (Registered Product)

See part #50 below and part #3 at bottom of page.
If your muffler mender becomes, or has hardened, simply add some water to it. This method should make it pliable and usable.
Use crescent wrench or Lantern Tool to loosen Part # 50 (see photo below)
  
Loosen part # 50 almost all the way out. Use screwdriver to judge spacing.
(see photo below)

Apply "Muffler Mender" onto screwdriver or tool of your choice, and apply around threads of Part # 50. (see photo below)
 
 
Retighten Part # 50 and remove excess "Muffler Mender" with rag or napkin.
(see below photo) Works best if left to set for 24 hours.

Below will be a GOOD START for
optimum performance of Part #33 mixing tube.
